Choosing an eSIM for Vietnam
For Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City or a multi-city itinerary, match the plan validity to your travel dates and compare the total data allowance. Check the full price rather than multiplying a daily rate.
Check the plan card
Confirm validity, total data and whether fair-use terms apply. If the trip has several stops, also review the country list shown for the selected plan.
Install with reliable Wi-Fi
Install from the emailed QR code while you have Wi-Fi. Follow the activation timing in the supplied instructions because it can vary by bundle.
Select the data SIM
On arrival, choose the travel eSIM for mobile data and enable data roaming for it. Keep data roaming off on your home SIM to reduce the chance of carrier roaming charges.
Before buying, check device compatibility and read the fair-use guide.

Common Questions About Vietnam eSIM
Will this eSIM work with my phone?
Yes, if your phone supports eSIM! This includes iPhone XS and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20+, Google Pixel 3+, and most phones from 2020 onwards. Check our compatibility page to confirm your device.
What if the eSIM doesn't work?
Contact support so we can troubleshoot the connection. Unused and unactivated eSIMs may qualify for a refund; installed or activated plans are reviewed case by case.
Can I keep my Australian phone number?
Absolutely! Your eSIM works alongside your existing SIM card. Keep your Aussie number for calls and texts while using Trvel for data. Just disable data roaming on your home SIM to avoid extra charges.
When should I install the eSIM?
Install while you have reliable WiFi and follow the activation instructions supplied with your plan. Activation timing can vary by bundle, so check the plan details before installation.
How fast is the internet in Vietnam?
Available speed depends on the selected bundle, your device, the local partner network, coverage and congestion. Plans show 4G or 5G availability where supplied.
